A couple nights ago, my mom made dinner. Steve, mom, dad and I sat down at the kitchen table for the first time in what seemed forever. Usually the only time we eat together is on the holidays or a special occasion. For these occasions, we eat in the dining room. Now, back at the kitchen table our family of four were accompanied by a comforting strangeness. Ironically, most of our dinner table discussion was about time travel.
Talking about satellites, the relativity of time, the speed of life constant, and the hadron collider in Switzerland... we ended up agreeing to disagree. In any respect, the conversation was stimulating as time travel is always an "appealing" concept.
Kellie and I just finished the entire Heroes collection. There is a character in this TV series named Hiro Nakamura who can control the space time continuum. As the series developed, the importance of preserving this continuum became more apparent. If disrupted, the "butterfly effect" occured.
What would happen if time travel were available, would you use it?
I spent some time today paging through the history of this site. I guess you could say I was paging through the history of my life in the process. From its very beginnings, from one rich thought to a bland one, through periods of the highs and lows... this site really clarifies my personality. Unfortunately you need to read through nearly a thousand entries to reach this conclusion.
What makes this site amazing is the experiences. Events, incidents, people... no matter how insignificant. Essentially this site is a portrait of my life. Every word a pixel, every thought a color, drawing a picture of the person that writes this here today. The struggles, the successes, and the love; if anything were to change, I would be something completely different. I would never, ever want that.
I love my life, every single part of it. I am extremetly grateful for the past because it brought me to the present. So thank you Blue Shallow, for keeping record of where I've been. Without you, I may not be the same person I am today.
Now traveling to the future, that's a whole different discussion...
