Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Amusing Case

Wave 932

Wednesday

The 18th of March, 2009 at 01:17 PM

So I had a pretty busy morning at work, but one case was fairly amusing. It was a 16 year old poodle. Reason for visit: "The cat pushed him down the stairs." Whether or not this is true, this animal really did fall down 13 stairs onto a hardwood floor and inevitably fractured his pelvis. The outcome is sad, but the cause is somewhat amusing. I thought I would share.

Ask Kellie about Brimstone sometime.  If we’d had stairs I’m afraid poor Kellie would have gotten pushed down them by one very, very bad kitty.  As kooky as your patient’s story might sound, I’m inclined to believe it.  lol

John, I just read your “Carefree” prose on the right of the screen.  I’m a fan of both metered poetry and of free-form and occasionally am touched by a sentence or a particular word use.  “The ocean applauds” is a righteous metaphor (in the beatnik sense of the word) that conjures a stunning audio/visual in my thoughts.  Snaps to you, author.
