Confused
A ripple for every moment

Water smashed against a windshield, a hundred directions are revealed. Twisting and turning across the glass, drops moving about in varying mass. Liquid reproduction and honorable cooperation, to reach the outer limits of the crystal foundation. Disorder and a spontaneous design, convinces ambition to resign.

Valentine's Day

Wave 928

Thursday

The 19th of February, 2009 at 03:04 PM

I know it is well past Valentine's Day. But I wanted to take a few steps back to remember it.

Flowers are wonderful. The local flower shop does such a great job, and they know my whole family (at least all the guys). Kellie received a beautiful arrangement, which made her happy and me likewise. And what better way to give flowers than with a warm cup of Caribou's hot apple blast. She had a wonderful morning.

All this fun despite the fact both of us worked Valentine's Day until 2 in the afternoon. It was over before it started and then we headed out to her dad's house for a little adventure: performing an examination, blood draw, and vaccines on a 180 pound Mastiff who is aggressive towards men. You may anticipate our anticipation for this bout of fun, but we did not go unarmed. Kellie even compared our expedition to a SWAT team moving in. We had drugs (for sedation) to safely ensure everything went according to plan. And it did, we were done in about 15 minutes. It was an interesting experience, being that it was my first housecall but it went extraordinarily well considering the circumstances.

Afterwards Kellie and I headed back the Woodbury Olive Garden. We grabbed a buzzer (1 hour, 30 minute wait) and headed over to her house so she could change. We then went to work to drop off our supplies. We got to Olive Garden a little early, but early enough for our buzzer to go off as we walked in the door. We had a delicious meal with some uncomfortable encounters, but it was memorable nonetheless.

Finally, we headed back to my place to watch X-Files. And that wrapped up on V-Day. :) I enjoyed it and I'm sure Kellie did too.

Lastly, I wanted to honor the memory of Flipper. Flipper was a Valentine's Day gift from Kellie 2 years ago. He passed away this morning due to a tumor in his abdomen and a fungus on his dorsal fin. He brings back terrific memories of the beginning of Kellie and my relationship and I will truly miss him.

That is all for now.

Just a quick note. I’ve been so busy with the animal hospital website that I haven’t paid much attention to my own. I just uploaded a number of pictures to the photo of the day. So remember to check back to catch up on my awesome photography ;)

Bouka was your first house call?  Talk about initiation by fire, lol.  You & Kellie weren’t the only ones who were nervous about the exam, but it went so much better than I’d even hoped for.  You guys make a pretty impressive team (SWAT should be as good)!

=)
