Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Excuses

Wave 908

Sunday

The 20th of April, 2008 at 12:34 PM

I have a number of excuses to explain my online absence, which still doesn't make it right. School is coming to an end, graduation is approaching, my career is beginning, my dependence ending... many life-changing events are taking place all at the same time. It's unnerving.

So instead of recapitulating all my worries and aspirations, I'll just bring everyone up to speed in one paragraph.

I have 2 weeks of school left. I received some award which I will receive this Thursday. I have a financial aid session to attend next week. I will graduate on May 3rd. I begin work somewhere in the middle of June. I have yet to negotiate my contract. I've bought more books in the last three months than I have my whole life. I will be fishing on fishing opener at Lake Mille Lacs. I will be going away for Memorial Day weekend to Bay Lake. I have three weddings this summer, two of which I will be a part of in August. I plan to move out of my house at the beginning of June. I don't know where or when, the next few weeks will be devoted to looking. I have loads of shopping to do for my new place. I obtained a Discover More card to take advantage of all the purchases I will be making in the next couple months. I will be going on a boundary waters trip with my brother in early June, 5 solid days of roughin' it. We still have to make the plans and rent a canoe. I don't know if I will be able to attend Sonshine this year, but I want to. My aunt and uncle will be visiting Minnesota at the end of September. I've started running again, Julius and Kellie have put some spring in my step. I tire easily. At present, I'm successfully managing my stress. I don't know how long I can keep it up.

There. Now that that is finished, I can continue on with some ideas that have been sitting on the tip of my tongue the last few weeks. The following posts will illustrate them. Hope everyone is having a sunny Spring.
