I inherited a new nickname as my final medicine rotation came to a close.
As many of you know, my initials are JC. One of my classmates saw my initials on the board, and she was reminded of Jesus Christ. So, she began calling me Baby Jesus.
This continued for several days as more and more people joined in, pretty soon my supervising clinicians were calling be by this name.
At first I was somewhat offended by how lightly the name was used. However, the more I thought about it... we all should be Baby Jesus-es, shouldn't we?
Anyone else have a nickname they would like to share?

Lately I’ve been called "Commander Gehring".
I can see how it fits... And for the moment I’m enjoying it :-). But there is a part of me that always wonders if the people are saying it because of some hidden hatred of me or my attitude. The people in this case I know well enough that I’m 99.5% certain that this is not the case.
Then there is my "Doughboy" nickname, which for a while didn’t really seem all that fitting, but alas, with sitting at a computer every day, the name seems to be more and more applicable. In fact, I just put a doughboy lightswitch cover up in my room a few days ago... go figure.

Personally, Justin... I don’t see you as a commander. Batman... yes. Commander...no.
John, I like the Baby Jesus nickname. It gives you a chance to talk about faith a little too if you want.
