Worried
A ripple for every moment

Scattered thoughts, broken words. Nothing said, nothing heard. Troubled water in disbelief; finds no direction, finds no relief. Nervous and afraid, quivering thoughts. Trapped on a leaf, lost and distraught. Flurries of confusion and flurries of blurry; from a storm of conscience, a storm of worry.

Keeping Up

Wave 879

Sunday

The 3rd of June, 2007 at 09:29 PM

At the end of friday, I finished 8 weeks of clinical rotations. They have been going fast, much faster than I had anticipated. I enjoy the rotations because I feel that I have better control over them. In class, I had a difficult time keeping pace with many different subjects. Now I can focus on one thing and talk through it with people. I'm confident in my communication skills, and that is one of the most important things this next year. I will be o-kay.

Kellie's 21st birthday was a week ago today. I spent all day with her and her family on some wild adventures. But everyone had a good time, I know I did. Happy birthday baby!

What's next? Radiology starts tomorrow and goes for the next two weeks. Rebecca assures me that it is a fun rotation and a good learning experience, I was looking forward to it anyways. After radiology I have elective small animal surgery. That will be both stressful but fun. This next month will be long but eventful.

I'm looking forward to hanging out with Matt, Shayla, Alex, Steve and Kellie the next couple weeks. We all wanted to get together for one last hurrah, before people go their separate ways. Drinks and some pool are in order.

Kellie and I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 today. We both enjoyed it, and I thought it was just as good as the first movie. The special effects are something else. I hope another one comes out, they are always enjoyable movies. On a side note, Spiderman 3 received quite a bit of criticism. However, I think the movie did a good job portraying the black suit. I know it made the movie quirky, but I liked that. So despite what people say, I still recommend the movie.

Unfortunately, I do not have anything inspirational to spare for this post. My collective energy has been spent completely at school.

Congrats on the 8 weeks! I eagerly anticipate when I do something similar to rotations in my fourth year.  Think how far you’ve come!

Hope you guys had fun on Sunday - I know we did. We’re starting to realize what we’re going to be without when we move... We’re definitely going to have to cherish it.

See you tomorrow night at Carolyn’s!
