Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Finding Life in Life

Wave 869

Wednesday

The 24th of January, 2007 at 06:08 PM

Walking home yesterday afternoon, the wind galloped across my face. I was sporting a pair of Lobz as I listened to the wind pass by my ears. The most unusual sound was re-created as I quickly made my way through the snow. I could hear a heart beat. Not from the great organ itself but from the chilly breeze making it's way around my ear warmers. The beat would speed up as I quickened my pace and slow down as I took my time. I almost felt like the wind knew what my heart rate needed to be for a desired walking pace. Either way, it was comforting to listen to on my lonely trip home.

The FrontThis weekend I participated in a Humane Society for Companion Animals event at a bowling alley. Kellie and I spent hours the night before creating shirts for the event. It was a fun activity which required more planning than it did creating. Here is the design for the front and back of the shirt.

The BackIt was a charitable event to raise money for homeless animals. Everyone had a good time and alot of money was raised to help those little guys :)

Then finally, Genesis showed us this weekend that without purpose we are wasting time here on this Earth. Everyone has a purpose, most people don't know what it is so they just make one up. We were put here to help each other, to find life outside our own. That is all God wanted us to do. He just wanted us to love each other as he loves us. Go find your way into someone's heart, because you are resting in His.

I liked how Genesis taught us that looking ahead and hoping for a future event is okay, but not to wish away the time that we have now.
