Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Wave 825

Saturday

The 22nd of July, 2006 at 12:33 PM

Remember your flashlight. I remember in Genesis when Ben was talking about flashlights and how we can only see to where the light ends. We can't see any further down the road than just a few feet in front of us. Even from movies like Mothman prophecies. The window washer, 15 stories in the air, can see a little bit further down the road than a person on the ground can, but that doesn't make him God. We won't always know what awaits us in the future, because the future is dark and we have no idea what it looks like until we get closer to it. All we can do is keep our flashlight on and keeping searching our way through the forest of life. Because without it, we would be falling over and running into trees.

Float. There is a man named John Nash. He is a great mathematician. They made a movie about him, "A Beautiful Mind," showing how he would partake on the most impossible tasks. In the movie he was trying to prove the sporadic nature of pigeons on the grounds of Carnegie. I have a point for this reference... just as impossible as it is to describe the nature of pigeons, describing the pattern and depths of waves is equally challenging. There are some things that are "unstudyable." You could spend your whole life analyzing what you think will happen, but in the end, whether or not you are right, your analysis would prove meaningless. Instead of sitting there, watching each wave roll in, embrace them. Sometimes you don't always have to know why, or how come.... sometimes you just need to sit back and go with the flow. Float, instead of fogging up your consciousness with questions. If you ask me, floating is so much more enjoyable anyways :)

A relationship is much like the weather. You never know what is going to happen. Sometimes it can be clear as day, beautiful weather, something you want to stick around forever. And other days, it will be cloudy. Sometimes bringing rain, lightning, and thunder. Sometimes even something worse. You never know when storms are going to happen, where they are going to strike, or why. They just happen. So hopefully, you live out all your days in the sun. Cause golden brown tans are... fun.

I’ve read this post’s title in my Live Toolbar many times and I read the post a while ago, but I think that the Title of this post would be great for a song or an album.  Should totally write a slew of songs based on this title.

Mmmmm, I will keep it in mind richard. The album hasn’t progressed much. I’m saving up money for a voice implant and waiting to hear back from a real guitarist :) Either way, your advice has helped. You made a comment in the past about something I’ve said and how that would be a cool song. I’ve kept that in my "backpocket" per-se. Thanks for your input along the way, input is always preferred.
