Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

I Want To Fly Away

Wave 810

Fuzzy, fuzzy was a bear; fuzzy, fuzzy had no hair; fuzzy, fuzzy wasn't fuzzy was he? I remember that little riddle from biology and the question it posed, was fuzzy really a bear? No, he wasn't. He couldn't be, because all mammals have hair at one point in their life. What makes a bird, a bird? Feathers. That's it, plain and simple. And as much as I like being a mammal, today I rather be a bird and fly away. Fly away from this class, not because it isn't interesting but because I want to be done. Finals week was last week and now I just want to be finished. I just want to fly away.

Steve is home. He is going to be running in Grandma's Half-Marathon in June (otherwise known as  Garry Bjorklund's Half-Marathon). Him and I went running yesterday and I offered as much advice as I could while we were out and about. I thought it was the least I could do, even though he is going to be running in a race longer than anything I've attempted. I'm sure he will do well, I'm pushing for him.

Right now I'm just trying to find my place again. I'm trying to figure out where I am going and what I plan to do this summer. I haven't had much of a chance to go around searching, but I haven't had time either. I just need to keep it together and hope my friends will keep me going. That's all I need right now.
