Where They All Went

All of my friends seem to be turning 21. Although it is a transition for them, it's a transition for me too. All of a sudden we are all equal. Privelges are now responsibilities.
Everyone drinks when they turn 21. I didn't. It was a choice I made and stuck with for a couple years. Quite a few of my friends drank before turning 21. The novelty simply wears off, 21 is no longer special. Then again, it is just a number. Just another number which signifies independence and maturity.
I don't have too many friends left who are not of drinking age. Leah was the first to go. Matt and Shayla followed in October. Justin turned 21 with a hotel full of alcohol. I never saw that coming :) Melissa turned 21 a few weeks ago. Matt Pet. invited me to his power hour last thursday, but I had no energy for that. Steve will probably follow his brother's path a week from now. Nikki takes her turn next month. And so it goes to Alex... etc. Almost as if we are passing a torch fueled with ethanol.
This certainly will make friendly gatherings more interesting, or more profound. Either way, I am happy to have all these people around me. They bring me up when I'm falling down.
I know I haven't been in the best mood lately. I apologize if I was rude or if my frustration was misdirected. Things are getting better. Hope you have a good night, thinking about all of you!

You were the etc... :) I can’t leave out my boy Richard. Just so everyone knows, he turns 21 on June 7th (which is after Alex). Don’t forget to wish him a happy birthday, because it’s insanely important to this young man! Shout out to you b-day boy!

Not to mention you ALWAYS take preference of one Melissa over the other (and that’s not me). It’s like John has this motto "Let’s forget the Bensons"

You were included up there... didn’t you see it? It was also the etc. ;) There is no motto, I swear. I like you two. If I didn’t... well, why do you think I haven’t moved away yet. ;)

So when is the "more interesting" gathering?? And by more interesting do you mean drunken DDR?

The gathering will probably be considerably smaller than usual, so there is less to keep track of :) I didn’t say it, you did. It would be interesting though, wouldn’t it...

Bensons = etc.
Interesante. Will I be invited to drunken DDR even though I’m not going to be 21 for a couple years yet?
P.S. I think you haven’t moved because you’re a free loader, plus both he and I moved, so you don’t have to. ;-)

The point I was aiming for ;) Very true on the free-loading though.
In regards to the drunked DDR. I have mixed feelings, hence my intimate use with smaller gatherings... No offense... seriously. I’m sure you’ll be mad now.

Meh, John always seemed to be a little conservative on the whole alcohol issue. If I didn’t think it was possible for you to say I couldn’t go I wouldn’t have asked.

Ok, this is getting kindof out of hand. There are exceptions I will be willing to make. And those exceptions will become more apparent when party time approaches, because I will still invite you. I think you all know where you stand.
