Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Wave 751

Sunday

The 1st of January, 2006 at 01:21 PM

As is customary among most TV stations and news stations, we are going to go over some of the highlights of this past year.

2005 marked the start of my second year in vet school. I received a guitar at Christmas, and learned how to play it. I acquired nearly a 5.1 surround system for the basement. I went to Sonshine again. I asked two girls out both of which were my employees. One at least gave me a chance; essentially, the first time I've ever dated anyone. I was asked to prom :) I found a new best friend and I don't know what I would do without her. I got drunk for the first time in Kansas City, while my parents were along. I was accused of an affair with my best friend. Many people left Hudson Road and new faces have replaced them. I grew a goatee and kept it for awhile. I shaved it off so my grandma would eat. My grandma was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing daily treatment to slow it down. My grandpa was diagnosed with depression. I ran my first race ever but I couldn't finish. I ran in another one and placed sixth. I got achilles tendonitis in the summer, preventing me from physical activity for a few weeks. I pulled a groin muscle :) I started to develop a passion for wine. I had a freak hospital visit which ended up as nothing. My uncle got married and my cousin had a baby. I started drinking coffee and I'm liking it. And that, is about it.

Every new year, I like to lay a list down of things I want to accomplish. Some people don't like lists, or resolutions at all. However, it gives me something to keep me headed in the right direction. Unfortunately, the list isn't going to change much.

1) Be honest. Always.
2) Get a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
3) Visit my grandparents more and take it easy on my dad.
4) Run in a half-marathon or full marathon.
5) Continue playing guitar and writing songs.
6) Make it to 25 moods by the 9th of January.
7) Not be afraid to show how much I care.
8) Be there when needed. Always.
9) Body build. *lol*
10) Be me.
