Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

    The Smell Of Happiness

    Monday

The 15th of November, 2004 at 10:10 AM

    Something is happening.

Saturday I went running around dusk. About half-way through my run I broke my cd/mp3 player. All of a sudden it just stopped and wouldn’t read the disk. I went home and messed around with it and couldn’t get it to work. I was upset.

This morning I woke up and looked down at it, it was still trying to read my cd or reset itself. I just shook my head. I got out of my bed and picked it up. I banged it a couple times. No luck. I took out a battery and banged it some more. Put the battery back in and tried it. It worked. I was dumb-founded.

Jamie from school called me last night. Told me the exam was on Tuesday and not today. This gives me an extra day to go over what I wouldn’t have finished last night. So this is good news. This also meant I got to sleep in till 10:00.

This was good because last night I felt terrible. It felt like someone was stepping my head into the ground and I needed to throw-up. I also was getting spells of dizziness and my vision going in and out. My head still hurt a little this morning but it was better. When I got to campus I took the short walk to class.

I was walking by the raptor center when I smelled pine. It reminded me of all the years of raking leaves at my grandma’s house. Something I wouldn’t be doing anymore. It reminded me of the boundary waters. It reminded me of happy times. Then I got a little closer to class and I smelled the horse stalls and that was that.

I don’t have too much more to say here. Read the last posts for more interesting, heart-felt information.

I need to get back to class. I may be back later with more.
