Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

    On Schedule

    Wave 429

    Tuesday

The 9th of March, 2004 at 08:34 PM

I'm on schedule finishing what needs to be finished. Unfortunately, a lack of what should be abundant Veterinary Journals haunts this house. So now I have to find articles somewheres else. This relatively sucks because I only have tomorrow to do it. I guess it will be one of those spit on the paper and turn it in papers. Thats about all I will get finished. But at least I will try.

I have this thing due thursday. This lab book. I haven't written hardly anything in it since the beginning of this semester. I don't know how I'm going to finish it coherently with the paper I need to finish tomorrow. Not only that, I have to work, go to class and finish studying for the genetics exam. I hate me, myself and I.

I just keep wondering, no pondering... no... marvel... no.... reflecting... there we go... on how lonely this coming spring break will be. Its like meh.

    *sighs*

I leave with song lyrics that ripple the interior of my car as I drive apathetically down the road...

Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
    Don’t close your eyes
    Don’t close your eyes

This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
And today is all you’ll ever have
    Don’t close your eyes
    Don’t close your eyes

    This is your life
Are you who you want to be
    This is your life
Are you who you want to be
    This is your life
Is it everything you’ve dreamed it would be
    When the world was younger
and you had everything to lose
Switchfoot - This Is Your Life

    Fumbling his confidence
And wond'ring why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments,
And failed attempts to fly, fly

We were meant to live for so much more
    Have we lost ourselves?
    Somewhere we live inside
    Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
    Have we lost ourselves?
    Somewhere we live inside

    Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken

We were meant to live for so much more
    Have we lost ourselves?
    Somewhere we live inside
    Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
    Have we lost ourselves?
    Somewhere we live inside

We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life
    Switchfoot - Meant To Live

    Twenty-four oceans
    Twenty-four skies
    Twenty-four failures
    And twenty-four tries
    Twenty-four finds me
    In twenty-fourth place
    With twenty-four drop outs
At the end of the day

Life is not what I thought it was
    Twenty-four hours ago
    Still I'm singing 'Spirit,
take me up in arms with You'
And I'm not who I thought I was
    Twenty-four hours ago
    Still I'm singing 'Spirit,
take me up in arms with You'
    Switchfoot - 24
