This is just an update before I get home for a real update. I will throw up my pictures of the ice castle tonight along with my attire I wore to the interview. Because so many people are asking what I wore...
Today in my Advanced Expository Writing class, our in-class writing assignment was to write about a place or a person. Being descriptive like an author we just read, Capote. So I tried with the 9 minutes we had left. I don't like writing about people because I feel I will either butcher their true character or write them too well... So I stuck with a place. We were supposed to put the audience where we were by being overly descriptive, I don't think I hit the topic, but I would like to finish it as a poem some day...
It was a snowy night in the city of fantasy. Somber lights led the way to the warm, glowing ice palace. Familiar music accompanies the brilliant colors of the frozen fort. People gather, with their cameras and multiple layers of clothing, to appreciate the momentous creation of man. The mini doughnut stand fills the air with its addicting aroma and the soup sign is more inviting than ever in the icy air of the display.... *and time ran out*
Well, I've got an hour before my next class. I really need to read this microbiology. I've been having trouble staying awake and keeping focus. I'm sitting in a computer lab in a library. My book literally fell out of my hands and made a loud bang on the ground... that woke me up. Since then I've been skimming stuff that seems irrelevant to exam material. But back to the reading/skimming I go... as I said earlier... I will be back tonight for a better update. until then. tschuss!
