Alter Bridge
For any of you who were diehard Creed fans, Alter Bridge is what remains. It was a sad day when I found out Creed broke up. By broke up I mean the lead singer was kicked out. Scott Stapp (the lead singer) had issues with the band members and had a presumed alcohol problem. I first heard about the band from one of my co-workers. At this time I did not know that they were Creed without Stapp. I didn't even like them.
I started listening to them more, especially a song called Open Your Eyes. The lead singer of Alter Bridge is Myles Kennedy... and wow. He sings with so much feeling and he is just awesome in concert, never missing a note.
For those who are close, you know this band was very close to my heart last year. I attached many of the songs (Open Your Eyes, Down To My Last, Broken Wings and In Loving Memory) to my personal life. To my grandma passing away and to relationship troubles. It was a very emotional time filled with Alter Bridge in the air.
I know you've heard this band on the radio, at least you should have if you were listening to the right station. I highly recommend them. I can't explain why they are artist of the week, but they are coming back again. Just get them.
