Cold
A ripple for every moment

Frigid sky scattered here and there. Shadows watch mountains who are not easily scared. Snowflakes fall as time stands still, while sun's warmth trembles under the treacherous chill. Depths run thin as the ice grows, and blue meets white in the blue shallow. Everything covered perfectly in a blanket, one that is cold and doesn't need to fake it.

Switchfoot

They found their way into my car quite a long time ago. Steve suggested I listen in on a song called "You." This was just after I watched A Walk To Remember, and I guess this song was on the soundtrack. I listened through the rather "pointing-finger" lyrics and started to fall for the perfect sound behind them.

Switchfoot finds a way into your heart in so many ways. Their music became very emotional for me. I listened to songs off their newest album, "The Beautiful Letdown." For those of you who were John's Sphere fans last year, you know that the first few months of last year were either up or down. And it was these songs that took me between the two extremes. From "Gone" to "On Fire," Switchfoot stole my heart and my voice. I couldn't get enough of them.

My good friend Alex and I went to a Switchfoot concert at the Quest. It was in March after I had a tough Februrary. I must say, that was the perfect way to wrap everything up. From sudden acapella to shake your fist rock, I had never seen such a fun concert.

So if you haven't heard Switchfoot, I suggest you do something about that. If you like hard rock, "Adding to the Noise" and "Ammunition." If you like soft rock, "24" and "Beautiful Letdown." If you like to just shout out, "Gone." If you feel out of place, "This is your Life" and "Meant to Live."  If you are in love, "On Fire."

Switchfoot won't let you down.
