Ben Folds
Ben Folds Five was a good band, but Ben Folds is extraordinary. I really never heard anything Ben Folds related until my friend Chris told me about this one song, Rockin' The Suburbs. I found the music video and it was hilarious. I thought he was just so messed up. I decided to listen to some of his other songs.
I found out that he uses the piano alot. I like that, not too many bands do that. Still fighting it, Fred Jones (Part 2), The luckiest.... just so beautiful. I fell in love with the sound and his lyrics. He now has two cds out, Rockin' The Suburbs and Songs to Silverman. I like both of them, but I haven't had much chance to listen through Songs to Silverman. Some of the songs on there are instant favorites: Landed and Sentimental Guy.
Ben Folds is a great guy. He spends alot of time with his family and doesn't forget the important things in life. I never really have put him on my top ten list of favorite artists. However, if I think about it, I listen to his music over and over. It just never gets old to me. I love Ben Folds and I suggest you go buy one of his cds. Right now. :)
