Dashboard Confessional
How far we've come. I was sitting up late one night flipping through TV stations. I stopped on MTV briefly and saw this guy singing and I was like, "Jeez." He seemed pretty emotional and into what he was doing. I never really heard anything like that before, so I switched it off. I watched something else for awhile and came back to MTV. He was still on. I listened for a little longer this time. With each strum of the guitar and every note coming out of his mouth, I fell in love with the sound.
I fell in love with this one song, called The Best Deceptions. From there there was no stopping me. Every song found a way to my heart. I know the lyrics to literally all the songs and every time they come on the radio or in my car, I belt them out. Every time they are in town, I'm there. Their music means so much to me because I can relate to the songs. They are just... perfect.
A quick bit of research I did recently, led me to the roots of Chris Carrabba (lead singer of Dashboard Confessional). He started his singing career with a band named Further Seems Forever. I got ahold of some of the songs that sound alot like Dashboard. I was so excited to finally find out some history behind everything.
Dashboard Confessional will always be one of my favorite bands. They are one of my top two favorite bands. Dashboard Confessional forever!
