Daphne Loves Derby
I was without new music for quite some time, the music I had was getting old. I started asking some friends for recommendations. The first response I got brought me to Daphne Loves Derby. I am so glad it did, because they jumped right into my top ten.
What could be classified as emo music, daphne loves derby brought me as close to dashboard confessional as I could hope. Something which is hard to come by, because dashboard confessional was almost in a genre of it's own.
"Midnight Highway" came a week too late for me, but proceeded to be a persistent echo in my ears for weeks. A good echo. Then "Come Winter," "Hopeless Love," and "The Longest Story" all were perfect treatment for my feelings at the end of October this year.
I am very happy I found this band, sooner rather than later. They came at the perfect time too. Thank you Matt for recommending them, and now I recommend them to all of you.
