Straylight Run
I was passing time on people's blogs and myspace profiles when I ran across Matt's profile and music started. I listened as this piano faded in. I started scrolling around the page to figure out where it was coming from. He had a music video included in his profile. There was no name by it though. I continued watching it, I couldn't take my eyes off it. I got addicted that fast.
I went to google to search for the lyrics and finally I found them, Straylight Run. What I would call an Emo band with more mood swings than Dashboard Confessional. I guess you could call them punk emo. But I like them.
And that song I fell hard on was "Existentialism on Prom Night." I listened in on their latest album, Prepare To Be Wrong. I was thoroughly impressed. I really enjoyed the last track too, "Your Name Here."
If you want a nice easy listening band that can rock out, grab this cd next time you are at Best Buy. They are fun. They are cool. They are awesome.
